Version 1.866b: More Clarity in Group Indices

In version 1.866b, we refined the descriptions and recommendations for interpreting group sociometric indices.

Please note that we recommend considering several indicators together when interpreting the results.

In particular:

• Gg — the psychological reciprocity (“group cohesion”) index shows the density of mutual positive relationships relative to all relationships that could theoretically exist within the group.
• U — the group referentiality (satisfaction) index reflects the degree of reciprocity among the positive choices actually made by participants.

It is also important to consider the sociogram itself. It reveals the structure of relationships, mutual connections, and distinct interconnected subgroups that cannot be fully described by a single numerical indicator.

In addition, the results now include Ggmax — the maximum possible value of the psychological reciprocity index for the actual number of positive choices.

This indicator provides additional context for the resulting Gg value. Although Gg can theoretically reach 1, the maximum attainable value in a particular study may be significantly lower given the actual number of choices made by participants.

• Added complete reference pages on sociometric indices in Ukrainian, Romanian, and Dutch.
• Improved the structure of the reference page by numbering its sections and subsections.
• Implemented the calculation of the maximum possible reciprocity index for the actual number of positive choices — Ggmax.
• Ggmax is now displayed next to the actual Gg value and explained in the reference tooltip.
• Made minor interface improvements.
• Updated software dependencies and made maintenance changes.
